The prices range from a free plan offering 10GB of storage and cloud backup space to a business plan with unlimited users. There are four different pricing plans for IDrive, and there’s one out there to suit everyone. I’ve listed the top ten pros to give you a quick overview of the product and the features and benefits available. There are many pros to the IDrive solution, and as nothing is perfect, there are also some cons. Your PC will run more efficiently, and you will be able to access files, wherever you are. It also offers amazing backup options that reduce the need for a large or removable hard drive on your PC or laptop. I'm looking forward to hopefully many years of continued good service and a solid product.IDrive is an excellent example of a service that gives you security and protection for your files, easy access, and a simply designed UI/UX. The prices at iDrive are also not only competitive, but a little bit less than many other back up services. The software was super easy to install, easy to navigate, and intuitive. They answered quickly, helped me get set up, and I really love their "Express Drive" feature, which made backing up a very quick process, rather than waiting months for all of the initial data to upload. From the moment I called them (you can't call Crash Plan, another bummer), it was a positive experience. Thank God, I didn't need to restore anything, but had there been a situation where I did, I would have lost a lot of my crucial data. I was a customer with Crash Plan (Code42) for ten years, only to find out recently that I had been paying a lot of money for years and they didn't have my full backup on their servers. So, that means that approximately 21.75GB, had become almost 24x its original size with encryption added. As I was clearing the data from the Express Drive, I saw that the IDriveLocal folder, created by the backup job, was at a total of 521GB and 8,712,815 files. Since that's roughly 4 days for 21.27GB, I couldn't consider IDrive as an acceptable backup solution (local or online). After 4 days running, it had not yet reached 50% complete. So, I canceled the NAS backup and started the exact same backup to the USB 3.1 attached Express Drive. When I chatted with support about this, they indicated that 1) encryption was a factor, and 2) if I used the IDrive Express external drive that I'd just received, the local backup would be markedly faster. After running for 2 days, the backup had not reached 30% complete. On the 1st laptop, I identified 43.5GB of data to be backed up to my local mapped NAS drive. The plan was to backup critical data from two laptops to my local 3TB NAS device, and then backup the NAS device to IDrive online. I'm not a fan! In the past couple weeks I've tried IDrive as my data backup solution.
